Nearly ten years ago, Quesada created a cigar specifically for the Spanish market. Thankfully, enough US-based shops and smokers got their hands on them and sung their praises. The Quesada España Corona is uninspiring to look at, wearing a medium brown wrapper and a band with a Q-shaped tobacco leaf. The cold draw tasted of caramel, a hint of the creamy goodness waiting within. Caramel debuted and quickly bloomed into macchiato. As the burn approached the midpoint, creamy butterscotch, like a Werther’s candy, covered my palette. A light spice on the retrohales mingled perfectly with the caramel goodness.
