Anniversary cigars get me excited because blenders pull out all the stops to create something special. The Romeo y Julieta team made the brand proud, crafting an exceptional cigar, the Eternal, to celebrate 145 years of history. I tasted earth and wood in the cold draw. Cedar exploded in the first half-inch, accompanied by a blend of Middle Eastern spices. By the second third, rich coffee poured out, eventually mellowing to mocha. The coffee flavors exited, leaving cocoa to merge with spices. The construction was beyond compare, allowing me to savor every puff.
