A handsome torpedo, AJ Fernandez’s San Lotano Dominicano proudly displayed a gorgeous band. After a diagonal cut along the tapered end, the cold draw tasted of wood and earth. High-quality construction meant an easy light. Initial flavors of coffee and spice warmly greeted me. Black pepper and spice appeared on the voluminous retrohales. In the second half, the San Lotano offered cedar, tea, and more spice. The draw was perfect, but this cigar went out once and canoed shortly thereafter. Overall, I would buy the San Lotano again, allowing it to age a bit in my humidor.
