A lancero with a Connecticut wrapper? Yes. Sinistro combined the legendary cigar vitola with arguably the industry’s most prestigious wrapper in the Last Cowboy Natural Lancero. Bitter notes stepped out on the cold draw. I enjoyed savory hints of pistachio nuts during the first third. Coffee took over near the midpoint, followed by floral notes at the end. The subtle spice in the retrohales did little to make up for Last Cowboy’s lack of depth. After the fifth relight, I nearly gave up. The poor construction surprised me.
