You know the Kelner family, famous from Davidoff lore. Henke Jr. decided to honor his father with the Henkie line, falling under the Smoking Jacket label. The gold band depicts the lapels of a smoking jacket – very classy. Cocoa flowed freely on the cold draw. I tasted salty pretzel right out the gate, followed by chocolate and caramel, like a Rolo candy. The midpoint carried woody notes that dissolved away, leaving a chocolate finish. Baking spices and tinges of black pepper performed in concert in the retrohales. A wavy burn did not take away from the quality airflow.
