If you’re looking to score some solid smokes from boutique brands, check out Privada Cigar Club. The Southern Draw Connecticut #1 Churchill impressed me from start to finish. The honey-colored wrapper foreshadowed the honey and cream I tasted on the cold draw. From the first puff, caramel prevailed through the entire length of the stick. After the first third, chocolate and nougat made an appearance, reminding me of a Milky Way candy bar. A delightful mix of spices and black pepper came through on the retrohales. The churchill burned true and produced ample volumes of smoke.
