Southern Draw Cigars debuted the Manzanita line late in 2020 at less than a dozen retailers nationwide. Since then, it has entered regular production and can be found at Southern Draw tobacconists. Manzanita translates to little apple, perhaps a call out to the reddish-brown tone of the wrapper. The cold draw presented a bit of cocoa. Oak opened the experience, trailed swiftly by a rush of coffee and cream. The midpoint saw a switch to a cedary chocolate blend that carried me to the finish. Subtle black pepper in the retrohales provided a dash of character.
