Cigar reviews – 99 words or less
Jochy Blanco and Tabalacera Palma created The French Collection with cigars named after famous religious figures. The Cardinal Mazarin wears a striking purple and gold band, accompanied by a gold foil sheath running from the band to the foot. Hints of chocolate escaped on the cold draw. The first third began with aged cheese and almonds, reminding me of a charcuterie board. By the end of the first third, I picked up oak and cedar, flavors that would marry until the final third. Coffee and spice closed out the experience. Airflow and burn were perfect.
