Timing is everything when selecting the double corona, typically a two-hour smoke. Undercrown’s Sungrown Double Corona, measuring 7×54, captivated me from the beginning. Mixed nuts and hay surfaced on the cold draw. Opening notes of caramel and nougat were followed up by chocolate, reminiscent of a Milky Way bar. Those flavors persisted until the midpoint, then they transitioned into spice and tea. The final third supplied dark roast coffee. Retrohales stayed consistent with spice from beginning to end. Even a damp night couldn’t ruin the quality construction of this Undercrown. I’m hopeful the other vitolas are equally good.
