Connecticut-wrapped cigars get stereotyped as light and bland breakfast smokes. But a mild cigar can be full of flavor, as displayed by the Torch Connecticut Toro by Veritas Cigars. Veritas claims to have a unique flavor and a mix bold flavor and mild body. They nailed it. Once I got past the tobacco-flavored cold draw and some mustiness in the first third, I was delighted by sourdough, cream, and mixed nuts. The nutty profile lasted through the first half, waning in favor of baking spices. A well-crafted latte brought the smoke to a delightful close.
