Cigar reviews – 99 words or less

Sam Leccia’s Vintage Fresh brand must have found the motherlode of pre-war era unused cigar bands. Dressed in a Corojo wrapper and a band printed in 1913, the Sheik robusto looks stunning. I only tasted tobacco on the cold draw. But once I lit the Sheik, it came alive with Mexican hot chocolate. By the end of the first third, loads of coffee rush over my palate. The coffee settled toward the midpoint, shifting to mocha. Coffee came back in the final third, picking up complementary earthy notes.
