Ah, the stories. We all have them, and we all share them. Kyle Gellis of Warped Cigars created La Relatos “The Stories” to honor the stories he and his father shared and will share. My 2018 La Relatos panatela offered cocoa and wood in the cold draw. Bitter cacao showed its strength in the opening puffs before falling away into earthy notes. Lots of earth carried me to a caramel-centered midpoint, where waves of sweet caramel quenched my palette. A heap of spices awaited me in the final third, where I savored each puff, thinking about my own stories.
